What You Can Expect From Faith Lutheran Preschool
We want your child to grow spiritually, socially, physically, emotionally, and intellectually. By emphasizing this whole child approach to learning and growth, we believe your child will learn the necessary skills to prepare them for kindergarten.
Our 3/4 year class focuses primarily on social interaction with a large amount of fun, movement, and play. Our goal is that your child will recognize his or her printed first name, know the months of the year and days of the week, be able to recognize and identify shapes, colors and some letters. In addition, we will be introducing writing (using the "Learning Without Tears" method), cutting, and other reading readiness skills. Music is part of the total program.
Our 4/5 year class (pre-kindergarten) is still a social preschool with a shift into academics. The skills needed to thrive in kindergarten are artfully woven into your child's day through hands on activities, songs, and play. Our goal for these students is that they will be able to write their own name, identify the letters of the alphabet (upper and lower case), cut with scissors, count to 30, as well as progress with their large and small motor skills.
