Frequently asked questions

Q:     How do I determine if my child should be in the 3/4 or the 4/5 class?
A:     Your child's age on August 1 of the current year will determine which class they are placed in. If your child turns 3 on or before August 1, they will be placed in the 3/4 class. If your child turns 4 on or before August 1, they will be placed in the 4/5 class. We do this to remain consistent with the Indiana guidelines for entrance into Kindergarten, where a child needs to turn 5 on or before August 1 for admittance. 

Q:     What is the monthly tuition cost?
A:     The monthly cost for the 3/4 classes is $85/month. The monthly cost for the 4/5 classes is $100/month.  Tuition is due on the 1st of each month.

Q:     What are the times for the 3/4 classes?
A:     The 3/4 classes meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The morning class meets from 8:30am-11:00am. The afternoon class meets from 12:00pm-2:30pm.

Q:     What are the times for the 4/5 classes?
A:     The 4/5 classes meet on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. The morning class meets from 8:30am-11:00am. The afternoon class meets from 12:00pm-2:30pm.

Q:     What curriculum do you use?
A:     We use several different curriculum sources in our classroom. Some examples are: One in Christ, Learning Without Tears, and Jolly Phonics, as well as several independent sources.

Q:     How do you determine breaks, days off and weather-related delays and closures?
A:     We follow the KV School Corporation for all break, delays and weather-related delays and closures.

Q:     When does your school year begin and end?
A:     We are in session from the Tuesday after Labor Day through the Friday prior to Memorial Day.
